Which MP3 bitrate should I choose?
128 kbps makes a smaller file for speech. 192 kbps is a balanced default. 320 kbps makes a larger file and can retain more detail from a good source, but it cannot restore quality already lost in the M4A.
Does this remove copy protection?
No. Protected or encrypted audio is not supported. Use an unprotected recording you are permitted to process.
Does converting M4A to MP3 improve audio quality?
