Audio trimming questions
Up to 100 MiB and 20 minutes per file. Short recordings work best on phones.
How do I cut a section from an audio file?
Choose your file, set the start and end of the section you want to keep, and preview it. Select Trim audio to export only that section; the original file stays unchanged.
Which audio formats can I trim?
Common MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, Ogg and Opus files work when their audio track can be decoded. Save the selected clip as MP3 or WAV.
Can I remove a section from the middle or join clips?
This tool keeps one continuous section between your start and end times. Removing a middle section or joining multiple clips is not supported.
Is audio trimming free and private?
Yes. No account or credits are needed. Your audio is processed in your browser and is never uploaded to ToAudio.
Should I download MP3 or WAV?
Choose MP3 for a smaller file that is easy to share, or WAV for uncompressed audio for further editing. Exporting WAV cannot restore quality already lost in the source.
