Is WAV to MP3 lossless?
No. MP3 reduces file size by discarding some audio information. Keep your original WAV for archiving and future editing.
How small will the result be?
Size depends mostly on duration and bitrate. A one-minute MP3 at 192 kbps is roughly 1.4 MB, plus a small amount of file overhead.
Can I convert a long WAV recording?
The initial limit is 100 MiB and 20 minutes. Uncompressed WAV may reach the size limit first. Available device memory can impose a lower practical limit.
